The fact that the Slav meme got me into this guy, then this guy got me into roadside picnic, then Roadside Picnic got me into the Stalker movie, then the Stalker movie got me into Tarkovsky, which got me into Soviet film, is incredible. I want to thank the Academy... The Sseth Academy of Child Soldierhood.
The Trouser Snake Child Soldier Academy xD
He said roadside picnic immediately as I read it in your comment
Imagine having 200+ likes in a month in a 2yo video. Sseth's videos really have some replay value go them don't they?!
I've seen this vid at least three times - i still find it entertaining. He puts so much time in his editing to the point that it is hard to appreciate all the jokes in just a single watch
"The mythical nation of Ukraine" Truly, ahead of your time, Seth
I thought the same my friend
Looks like the people of Ukraine are showing the truth of that statement.
That aged badly lmao
Irvine never go full NATO
"the mythical nation of Ukraine" this is aging either like wine or like an egg, depends who you ask.
He said this because there have always people who have 'thought' this to be true. (I love Ukrainians by the way hit christian Ukrainians girls DM me)
I'm neither Christian, Ukrainian or female, but can I DM you anyhow
eggs dont age well too. just sayin
Why would Sseth saying "Ukraine" make this video age badly? The context is simply not there to make it relevant in any way.
Morel People always makes these comments when someone mentions the name "Ukraine".
As s Colombian, that cocaine farmer reference was spot on, and pretty funny
Yeah, it made me snort as well.
cocaina
nope, flour. There are two versions of reality--
"For westerners Stalker is a game a bout surviving a harsh unforgiving place where there's noone to help or rescue you, human contact is limited and you are left isolated from the outside world. For slavs Stalker is a simulation of everyday life, surviving a harsh unforgiving place where there's noone to help or rescue you, human contact is limited and you are left isolated from the outside world." The most accurate review of Stalker.
Those western just come to zone because meme *GET OUT OF HERE STALKER*

@Дэб Дэбовi know thats It looks Strange but the point is that the First Thing that comes to my Mind is that he belong to some underground civilization of Rat people. And i want to clarify myself that one idea Like that cant be real....... Right?
As a real Colombian cocaine farmer I can totally confirm that Seth is telling the truth. Thank you so much my good man.
Name checks out.
Buena 👍
Be safe out there
As a Slav myself, i thoroughly enjoyed the little slavic references and was impressed by the Westerner's great knowledge of slavic culture and history. Spasibo bolshoe.
I’m pretty sure he’s slavic
Yeah, but last time I was in Easter Łódź it didn't look like in 4:06 .
@F E he said he lived in Britain in one video, but it might've been a joke
He's trained his voice to be American. He's from UK. Still west of Ukraine I guess
@F E Slavic my ass. The man has a hardcore "western spy" accent. The knowledge is still very impressive though
“The mutants of the zone grunt, squeal and lunge at you with a moments notice” Sounds like a typical night out in any British city then
Or San Francisco. Can confirm we also have the junk heap crack den anomaly. Mom says I can't get the meth needle artifact from these though.

There actually was a Chernobyl disaster in the world of STALKER. The Organization used the nuclear power plant as their base of operation because they powered their equipment with it and the exclusion zone allowed them to keep this a secret. When they fucked up the "earth's informational field" that caused a second disaster which created the zone as you see it in the games.
"I know that I said it wrong. And I will do it again. So I can flow more freely... Like a sewage drain"
All jokes aside, I remember sinking my teeth into Shadow of Chernobyl fresh out of beating Fallout 3 as I was still hungry for more post-apoc survival RPG. Coming from the Fallout series, known for being a bit more grounded in “reality” (or at least being more believable), that game completely threw me off guard and genuinely fascinated me at every turn. The survival aspects and difficulty of the STALKER series made Fallout look like a kid’s sandbox. The metaphorical vagueness of The Zone, the disturbing creatures found throughout the game, and the unexplainable paranormal anomalies throughout the game both frightened and encapsulated me. To this day, Shadow of Chernobyl remains one of the most memorable games I’ve ever played and I’ll never forget how I felt going into that game completely blind - no guides, no wiki. Anyway, just wanted to throw in my two cents for the few people out there who haven’t yet played a STALKER game. If you haven’t... do yourself a favor and do so.
This made my day most fallout players be comparing it to stalker and saying fallout 2 and nv is better
You read his comment in Sseth's voice, didn't you
cant wait for stalker 2, probably gonna be my first stalker game
little owl guy you must at least try some stalker mods. Call of Chernobyl, Dead Air, or Anomaly (the best one out there imo)
Stalker Anomaly was recently updated to its final version and its like an unofficial sequel to the series that combines all maps while having its own fanmade story mode thats actually pretty good and acts like a continuation of the games. The only bug I encountered in over 100 hours of just exploring anomalies and wiping out military to get their loot to save enough money to buy myself an exosuit, was a memory one, that you can simply fix by clicking on the two options right under the start game button to clear your cache or something. Idk how it works but it does. Highly recommend.
No.
Just started playing anomaly and after 25 hours of gameplay i have almost forgotten that its a free mod. Its very bug free, pretty tightly balanced with well thought out game mechanics, and has tons, and i mean TONS of content. Amazing what a lot of passion can accoomplish.
Kuvakei Yes
Which stalker game is anomaly for and which one should I play(never played post apocalyptic games)
start out with the first game called shadow of chernobyl, anomaly is a mod which is way harder than shadow of chernobyl and anomaly requires you to know the basics of the unmodded game in order to play it. Some people say you should play the entire trilogy first (Shadow of chernobyl, Clear Skies, and Call of Pripyat) but only play all 3 games if you really want to, if not just play Shadow Of Chernobyl. after that, you can play Anomaly. Anomaly is a standalone game and you can download it free without any of the base games
Those are not glitches, those are just the effects of the Zone.
But this isnt a Bethesda universe, so...
HamburgersAndBeer “it just works” my ass
They are not glitches, they are features (and effects of radiation)
* Proceeds to Mary poppins into the atmosphere in a car and die instantly *
Such is life, in the Zone.
Sseth: "there's many words to describe the average Russian and bilingual is not one of them" Me: *dead*
As a russian i totally agree. Historically russians used to know 3 or more languages to some degree. I, myself, have knowledge in over 4)
Standard russian, sober russian, VERY drunk russian and a little ukrainian?
Churkin you are aware on what channel this comment was made?
SolaniusCCG is the channel racist towards russians?
@kam doubt it lol
As a person who grew up in USSR, I give thanks for this nostalgic documentary.
As a Ukrainian, who lives near the Zone, I can totally confirm that this depiction of my life is pretty accurate
Even moreso recently, I guess :/
Well stalker 2 is now announced, looking forward to the review from papa sseth and mandalore
what do you mean by "and mandalore"? they're the same person after all.
So excited!! Maybe I should catch up or watch an LP. 🤔
I just bought the 3 games due to this one, playing them as we speak
Red how is the game so far?
Angel FUCKING Awesome! It have amazing atmosphere. Play it, it's gonna be worth it
5:36 I remember encountering this Controller on my first playthrough, I heard it's a frightening and difficult experience where the only real option is to just run away up the ladder. That's what I heard anyways, see, I basically turned around in that tunnel and started running back because I was kind of lost and confused, but I still triggered his spawn, so all I did was sprint up beside him and blast him with my shotgun.
Yeah the poor bastard can’t attack at melee range in vanilla SoC lol, what I did on my second playthrough (in my first, I ran from it) was use the hallway as a cheap peeking cover to poke his health off like how I did it on Lab X16 lol
In every playthrough I just started to fire full auto the moment I saw him. Well, it works.
this controller doesnt give a fuck about your jumpscare tolerance
You just have to break the line of sight.
As a slav, I am genuinely surprised that you described our lifestyle so well. Maybe there is a little hope for the west in the end.

Why haven’t you returned yet?! You said you’re just going to buy some milk. It’s been 15 years.
I laughed at your description of how touchy it was and played the game, thinking 'damn, this isn't unstable, he was being dramatic'. So, my game crashed from eating bread out of a dead mans pockets, and I see what you meant
Man I thought I was just crazy
welcome to the Zone, same thing happened to me
oddly enough my 2007 playthrough of shadow of chernobyl was glitch free, except for GET OUT OF HERE STALKER
Idk what are you talking about, I played all three parts and didn't have a single crash
Sounds like the engine cranked the difficulty up to "slav simulator" on you.
I like how Sseths videos can't even recommend other Sseth videos.
Too based for KZsection!!🤣

As a Russian, respect for popularizing Strugatsky's work.
Clear Sky is my favorite of the series. Mostly because i enjoy the end game of clear sky alot more than the other two. Something about building up your stash of all the best gear you can find before being thrown into a one way meat grinder that has you slowly stripped of everything that you acquired so far and has you wondering if youll even be able to beat the game. I just love it. Its like the opposite of how most games usually work.
I enjoyed it too but I did actually get totally stuck during the endgame. Out of medkits and my Primary Weapon didn't have great durability so broke part of the way through and I had no way to fix it. Many hours spent trying to get past a bit with a Helicopter shooting at me with nothing but my Pistol and a few shots in the Bulldog to sort it out. I never finished it and probably never will. Great game though, would recommend to anyone. Just get take a more durable Rifle then the TRs 301 to Pripyat :P
"Even the Ukrainian engineers who created this using microsoft paint on windows bandera" for such a fast joke you still created that whole picture, just want you to know I appreciate that and have to pause your videos regularly!
This is why I love this guy right here.
fucking yeeeeeeeeeeees, i do that a lot ! since i discovered this channel, i kept viewing their videos a lot of times XD
It was a very very cool joke!)
Exactly.
I i keep hitting the got back 10 seconds gesture to laugh at stuff. CONSTANTLY
My favourite part of Clear Sky is that enemies can see in the dark, but you can't. It makes from some very... memorable firefights.
a world where stuff like in the outro exists is absolutely worth living in ❤️
What is the song called? I love it!
Talli Ыын Дага Дыр Бубуль
@Александр Абгарян > Hits translate... I don't know what I expected.
fun fact: the stalker games are based on true events, and thats exactly what ukraine looks like irl, bandits, bioweapons and mutants included. also you might get randomly dismembered by a russian missile, but thats just life
in fact, it is more like Russian with its prison culture, which is transferred from there to Ukraine
The Monolothic slog (get it...) is one of the most nostalgic parts for me! Though I understand why people dislike it, as it is a huge change of pace from the rest of the game (and you can literally lose a save if you didn't stock up properly and make a save before you leave). My best memories of Clear Sky were from my first time finishing the game, after fighting my way through the first few waves of Monolith I realized something, I hadn't brought enough ammo for my Vintar BC, and the only weapon I had with any source of replenishable ammo was a fully upgraded hunting rifle (which isn't saying much)... In the end I managed to fight my way through the brainwashed hordes, though it took me a few hours, but I HAD to get headshots on every enemy before they actually had a chance to shoot me as I had also ran out of my healing supplies aside from what I could scrounge off of the corpses. It made for a very intense and memorable experience, and it felt very much in the spirit of Stalker being that I only had shoddy low-grade equipment and was somehow expected to fight groups of enemies equipped with exoskeletons and gauss rifles. Truly these games are incredible, and I for one am very much looking forward to the upcoming sequel!
This man is prophetic. Watching this review in 2023 is surreal. Like how could he make so many references to events that have not happened yet. Sseth truly is a time lord.
Woah, a STALKER review without any cheeki breeki jokes? I'm impressed
Thank christ for that, Cheeki breeki jokes stopped being funny back in 2012
There was one.
only one almost
Papali papali suki!
Thank you for reminding why I completely repressed the memories for the first STALKER game's entire ending level. I honestly do not know or recall how I got through it.
Thanks for this amazing review Sseth. It convinced me to buy the games and the novel, Roadside picnic, as well. Although I haven’t finished all the games yet I finished Roadside picnic today and it was amazing. One of the best science fiction books I’ve ever read.
As an Albanian I can confirm that stalker is apart of everyday life
Apart from the Roadside Picnic there was also a movie by a world famous director Andrey Tarkovskiy. It was based on Roadside Picnic and might have given even more inspiration for the games. That movie is definitely a masterpiece.
Yeah. In the book, the Zone is placed in Canada. In the movie, it's in an unspecified country that is obviously inspired by the Soviet Union.
why is he always so accurate in his analysis and description of eastern europe and its denizens, its like hes got a masters degree in this
I seriously appreciated the telepath encounter in the tunnel joke.
we live in a not a perfect world.
It pretty much sums up that encounter.
That telepath made me think about that one time when i killed all soldiers at the military depot and accidently broke the whole story line but at least the soldiers at the zone/outside outpost respawned the second I walked out of it and they all wield an ak 74 or the 6000 ru version. The worst thing about the respawns was the hardness of getting the guns away from the army but puting all the loot into a soldier and then draging the corps to the closest trader can do ( btw the bug exists in clear sky but i dont thing it works in any other stalker oh and you can gain about 10000ru per 2-4 raids a loss of point in your grinding and some good medkits, bandage but i think that you dont realy need to do the part with killing the depot tho). If you need instructions on how to kill most of the soldiers just do this: 1. Find the ak amunation in machine yard. 2. Go to the the outpost ( thrue the one closest to machine yard of corse) 3. The secund you chear the speaker talk shit go slightly right so they dont see you right away. 4. Kill the guys on the road (remember to save the game first). 5. Try to find ap ammo on them (if they dont have a lot reloade the game) 6. Kill the rest (using the ap ammo) 7. Colect all the loot you can find and put it into a corpse of your liking ( it can just be a soldier but a blind dog is the best). 8. Grab the corpse and run as fast as you can ( it may fall out of you hands a few times just remember that you walk slightly slower when you draging a corpse and you cant have your weapon drawed pick it up if you sudenly walk faster or have your weapon out). 9. Profit. Also dont sell the ak74 you get at the start.
Kotkowski Wait, you're not supposed to run from the telepath then slaughter the entire military base?
@Odd Luck im talking about depot and military outpost at cordon not the location military depoth.
Hey Sseth, great review as always, but the fans have proven that the difficulty/damage thing is a myth. In fact on Rookie and Stalker settings the player damage is at 120%. No one knows why the damage is like that. Mystery of the Zone.
I just got done reading the first part of Roadside Picnic, currently on page 57. Since watching this review so many months ago I have played all the Metro games, watch Mandalore Gaming’s review, played 60 Seconds and got the reference, finished the first STALKER game, watched the movie, and watched other video essays on the movie and games. Thanks Sseth, your schizophrenic ramblings have hooked me on Stalker and media like it.
There is no bugs in stalker, only anomalies
Ive played through clear skies 3 times. I never knew you could go back into the swamp. I would always spend 30 minutes dogging machine gun fire till i cleared the base.
I'd just stick to the left side, using the trees and trunks as cover while sprinting towards the closest stalker/neutral village. It worked 8-9 times out of 10.
thats a funny way to define urself as a degenerate :)
I somehow big-brained it on my first playthrough by going through that northern swamp exit then paying a guide at that stalker camp north of the bridge to take me to the rookie village. No need to deal with all the military bullshit. Probably one of my proudest gaming moment ever when I figured out that exploit.
I had no idea STALKER was such a true-to-life biography of being a Slav. Truly the stuff of legends.
After 6 years you actually taught me how to pass Clear Sky intro phase out of the swamp...
Wtf lol? It's easy to hide from the soldiers' machine gun behind the tree (not the thickest one, but the thin one), wait until he stops shooting and then run through the hedge
the Prophet "Wait until he stops shooting" You mean never?
Sass there was some time that the machine gun is stopped firing, that was your chance
F I usually just start running even before the "ALERT STALKER DETECTED" guy starts talking, and i usually make it. Usually.
Am i the only one that loved the massive fight at the end of Shadow of Chernobyl? Something about that section just makes me feel like this is what it all's been building up to, and i find it in a way satisfying, especially coupled with the ending of destroying C-Conciousness. It just feels to me like an appropriate and very climatic ending but still kept in a true S.T.A.L.K.E.R. climate/style
As an eastern european the ammount of knowledge that Sseth has about us deeply disturbs and amaze me at the same time.
Man, your reviews truly do pay justice to the games discussed. ^^ Also: legendary music video.
Finishing this game gave me the vibes of when I first finished my computer. I had no idea what I was doing or what I just did, but I felt a level of accomplishment nonetheless
Seeing Albertslund always makes me happy. SSeth should never forget his second home.
I wanted a review of a game, not 15 minutes of Ukranian home videos 10/10
But Ukraine doesn't exist!
the zone is a magical place like that
+TheHalogen131 Ukraine has always existed, unlike "Russia".
My experience with STALKER included repeatedly getting a protection mission early game, that I promptly would fail before I could even get to the objective
I never had any problems playing STALKER, any of them other than Clear Skys which had a bug when it first released that took a little while researching to sort out. All of them have great modding community and Ukrainians are just badass Devs.
This video is why I bought stalker and showed it to my friend. Shit rocks and thanks to you I've spent hours listening to Viktor tsoi while playing the anomaly mod. Me and my friend are the two biggest fans of this game series ever.
I remember my first time playing clear sky. I got to the tower in the beginning and then was promptly melted by an emission. Good game.
This video put me on to urban exploration. Thanks, Sseth!
As a person born and raised in the ex-USSR, I've gotta admit: Stalker represents Eastern Europe perfectly. That said, Stalker enables you to experience that region without even leaving your chair. The masterpiece
Never knew I had to fight my only true friend for a vodka, so I won't die from radiation poisoning.
Hun Lepto, finally you got rid of naïvité and attained the true knowledge of the Weltschmerz
you from LITVA \ LATVIA ( doesn't matter ) ?
Street Trader I love your name.
Nice name bro
Been playing all of these over and over for years now. Especially lately the CoC edition. No other game on earth has this atmosphere. It’s creepy, dangerous and addictive. I’ve been in the X labs many times and still I’m hesitant to go in.. it’s just way too creepy.
I'm amazed of his deep understanding of so many cultures.
Seth summed it up there, As a shooter Stalker is really good. The guns feel good and things react well which is a lot for a game that not heavily restricted to levels. Add in everything else and it's even better.
Master difficulty makes the enemies stronger, the only reason why it looked like Seth was pwning the army guys was because he actually turned it to novice or as you can see didn’t shoot the head of the enemy all the time when he showed the easier difficulties
Amazing review Ssethh, if you guys want to experience another view on Stalker universe - check a movie by Tarkovsky. It's incredible.
Roadside Picnic is one of my favourite books ever. I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. It's a pretty short piece of science fiction, yet absolutely thrilling and surprisingly profound. Funny though, it has nothing to do with Chernobyl and the story is not even happening in Russia or Ukraine, but I guess deveopers decided the game would be a lot more marketable this way.
The location is based on the film, which is does in Chernobyl
@Đăng Quang Nguyễn Thạc If you're talking about Tarkovsky's "Stalker", it actually happens in an unspecified location. Moreover, it was shot 6 years before Chernobyl incident even happened, sooo... yeah.
Well the powerplant is a dead giveaway
It's really an excellent read, first time I saw the film I had to put the book out of my head and take the film at face value. The two work alone wonderfully, but together form a brilliant body of art. The games, and I played Shadow of Chernobyl and Pripyat seemed to be in the same universe but too far removed. Glorious none the less!
have you read hard to be a god by the strugatsky brothers? it's phenomenal as well, thoroughly reccomend!
„Hunts for kabanosy in Eastern Łódź” I love you seth. As a person from Łódź who loves kabanosy.
Miałem zonka, gdy zobaczyłem wspomnienie o Łodzi, ale potem sobie przypomniałem, że życie tam to gameplay Stalkera.

Til kabanos is an actual word, not a wordplay on "kaban" (russian for boar)
I started with Clear Skies because I was told it was first in the story (though not first by release) and had FACTION WAR I am having too much fun after I got night vision and the Viper 5. Just appearing out of the shadows of the night and wiping out an entire camp of renegades without getting hit once
I'm surprised how... accurately this catches the engine's fickleness. Even so, these are great games, even in Clear Sky isn't a good piece of software.
I like the endings. Then again, I like the Warfare mod for CoC, so I'm into the balls to the wall shooting and killing. It also helps that I have about 25 other mods and add-ons to increase quality of life, not including a dozen or so of my own personal tweaks, I rarely get a CTD. Also I downloaded CDDA (Cataclysm Dark Days Ahead), on your recommendation, ...fuck that noise, jack, ...er... Sseth. A different button for every single action, for the simplest of actions.
for clear sky, I actually didn't know you aren't supposed to go through the first entrance. I killed literally every military, and reloaded the save about 15x because I needed to score a few d20s in order to get by without dying since the enemy has such accurate guns.
9:41 That JFK part legitimately killed me. Christ. I'm laughing so hard.
You know who else got killed? JFK
hahahaha SAME
My name is JFK And boy i sure do feel Ever so nice and safe In my automobile
xweert711 I didn’t even notice that..
Honestly one of the best reviews I've seen for a game
I played this games 600+ hours and will not stop, because they have the best post-apocalyptic atmosfere in games. And AI make so diverse experience every playtrough, that every mod feels like a sequel. Cheeke-breeki, i v damki.
“… in Chernobyl, Ukraine, which is actually based on a fictional country, here in Europe” is hitting a bit different now, on February 25th of 2022.
Beat me to the joke
I’m honestly surprised no one got to it before me.
aged like fine wine
Wait for "bread" to become a fictional food... What a time to be alive!
№5 still better than WWII era? :D
Thank you for your hard work. My Mother greatly enjoyed this video. She showed me Stalker the movie on VHS when I was a little kid. I'm going to read Roadside Picnic now c: Thank you again Mr. Tzeentach.
fun fact: the X-ray engine is actually broken on perpose, becasue the AI was so advanced that thay were able to complete the game before you do.
Was the AI advanced enough to spell purpose?
Yeasty almost
smart comment
Slav its actually true
another mentioned around the campfire bit of lore is that its an accurate simulation of the Noosphere.
What better way to get a case of PTSD than coming into contact with a blood-sucker that's just teleported through a fire anomaly into your face while you're playing the game at midnight with the lights off...good job guys
This and your Statsector review are two of my favorite videos on KZsection.
"Call of Chernobyl" is now called "Anomaly" for those wanting to play. Highly recommend the Escape from Pripyat mod pack.
I played STALKER. And this was one of the best gaming experience.
As a slav, can confirm: this is 100% accurate.
Stalker-Game series so immersive that It will give you radiaton poisoning.
Can confirm, during mod usage the monitor made my geiger counter go apeshit...and then it usually bluescreened.
Alcoholism is the only cure
Yes
I usually where a gas mask and radiation suit when I play games on my computer so I didn't know about this. Good to know I haven't been wearing all this for nothing.
*whering
The origin of the “zone” in the book was honestly more interesting.
I to this day have memories of stalker's 100% aimbot grenade throwing military npcs at the hardest difficulties, these games also gave me a great appreciation for the VSS Vintorez and their bullet drop xD.
For those who don't know: enabling closed captioning adds another layer to the sssseth experience ™
In Clear Sky I was one of those idiots who passed through the military base without realising i could turn back on my first playthrough. Took many many reloads but i eventually made it passed. Second play through i knew about the other path and third play through my game had been so modded thay i walked into military base with an rpg and had zero issue.
I finally subscribed to you given that you mentioned (and seemingly) read the book that spawned the whole Stalker thing. Besides liking your reviews of course. I’ve read the book first before experiencing any of this other stuff.
I legitimately had no idea the bugs were bugs, I thought it was some Eternal Darkness level Psychological horror.
Well, one can interpreperet that they're hallucinations of the Zone. Whatever, they're still funny sometimes:D
Nothing like hiting a box with a screw so hard that it just brakes the box and teleports the contens of the box straight into hell am i right stalkers?
10:44 10/10 for immersion and realism, this is just like real-life Russia only with slightly less better graphics.
Wow I’ve got to say this review is funny as hell!!!! I really enjoyed it 😂 Thanks!!!
I can only imagine how trippy the new game is gonna be
The Chernobyl radiation incident did happen, it was a second “incident” that caused reality to get drunk
"Dementia is subjective." -Bilbo Baggins
Yes... an alternate exit... Of course. I knew that. I certainly didn't crawl around for three hours popping off hail maries at the machine gun until everyone in the outpost was dead... That's something an idiot would do...
I've completed the game like 4 times and I've always tried my hardest to survive the machine gun shooting at me.. I never knew about any other ways of leaving that location...
6
I did that too! But after I got the guy on the machine gun I rushed in and murdered the entire camp as you can abuse the machine gun's limited firing arc. Still pissed off that I couldn't steal it since it's mounted to the railing. Eventually found one I could use in the second to last area. Having played the first game I figured that needing to get through the hail of bullets was just another part of the Stalker experience.
That's not something that an idiot would do. That's something that a STALKER would do.
hahah exactly this, just stalker things
And Sseth once again made another game overwhelmingly positive on steam
You absolutely nailed the essence of the games. Blyat and hardbass to you.
I started playing through the Stalker games in preperation for Stalker 2. Got CoP first, as was recommended in this video and other sources and had a really enjoyable experience. I tried Clear Sky and...Yeah. Everything said here is 100% true. I gave up on that just because the start was that miserable. SoC is probably gonna be just as jank but y'know...May not be completely miserable right off the bat.
How’d you find SoC
'The zone' in russian actually is slang for prison. But it was used in the book to give it the same feeling as if in prison.
As of writing this I'm almost done with SoC, and holy shit Seth was right about the last level.
As a ukrainian i can confirm that we do not exist
it's like to be a unicorn
Completely agree with that
correct. the mythical creatures are now in polska.
What about Finland?
AlphaChocolateTruffle "At least I know how to read braille."
I highly recommend Roadside Picnic, one of the best novels I've ever come across.
I just ordered it from my library. Can’t wait to read it
Jacobs did you read it?
Abbasov Hehe yeah. Thanks for asking. I’m still new to Russian/Eastern European literature and their writing so it was weird to me how the sentences were laid out and the structure as a whole but I did really like it!
Jacobs glad to hear it! Make sure to check Metro book and game series too, Stalker and Metro series are brothers.
Abbasov Read Metro 2033 and loved it. Do all Russian books have an ending that sort of delves into a philosophical think piece? Or just those two? I remember when he found the golden sphere in picnic and it sort of went into this whole piece about philosophy (I apologize for forgetting the details). I love it but it’s sort of crazy
0:35 Funfact, the channel of that little sewer Gremlin is called "Supersus" he does urban exploration type of content in the Russian-Metro, showing of just: "how well it was constructed and the legendary functionality of Russian engineering after a few decades." (sarcasm) Edit: Apparently he's from Ukraine, someone I work with who's from Ukraine was VERY eager to point that out to me.
SUS? super? Thats kinda AMOGUS
【Sunglasses Finnish Pirates】Stalker was in dire need of realistic guns damage mod (for you and the enemy), ironsight mod was a must but it had a a great atmosphere (loved the guitar playing near camping fire) Beautiful ending xD
I, as a Russian fan of the STALKER series, got into this review... yes, I was just lying around laughing! Respect.
